Canaverosa nature reserve

The Cañaverosa nature reserve lies very close at hand. In the reserve and in the canon de los almadenes, ash, elm and willow as well as a wealth of other vegetation creates a thick gallery. This spot is now recovering from the 1994 forest fire.

Two interesting outings may be started in Calasparra: a trip on rafts along the river segura, crossing the superb canon de los almadenes and a visit to the Cueva del Puerto.
