Aguilas The railway museum
This was set up in 1985 under the auspices of the Association of Friends
of El Labradorcico Railway of Aguilas and can be found in the cellars
of the passenger buildings at the town railway station.
The premises which hold it were used at the end of the nineteenth century
by the English company The Great Southern Spain Railway as archives
and strong room, where you can still see the perfectly preserved reinforced
armoured iron door which allowed access to the safes.
The main room of the museum is hall with thick bare brick walls and
curved ceilings where we can take a trip through the history of the
Lorca baza Aguilas railway line by means of displays of photos, old
machinery and tools.
