Aguilas The Roman baths
This museum was opened on 30th November 2001. in the basement of the
building standing in calle Rey Carlos III in Aguilas, remains were found
in situ of Roman baths dating back to the first century of our era,
especially part of a caldarium, hot baths.
The complete ground plan of the baths was drawn up by Don manuel Robles
Vives the abbot of the Collegiate church of Lorca who carried out excavations
in 1787.
The small exhibition which is to be viewed at the baths shows the plans
and a reconstruction of the bath building.
