Cartagena Location

Situated at 37º 33´ north and 2º 42´ 30´´ west of the meridian of Madrid.

There is a small valley surrounded by several hills on whose slopes is the city laid out. It is endowed with a port, reputed to be one of the best and safest in the Mediterranean.

Spring arrives veryearly at this spot where diseases are uncommon and the summer season is so light that people from the whole province come here to bathe and to release themselves from the hinterlands.
