Mazarron Location

Mazarrón lies half a league away from the Mediterranean coast, surrounding an outerop on top of which a castle was erected, property of the Marquis of los Velez.

This serves as the town centre encircled on one side by a hill named after San Cristobal and on other side by a cone shaped hill on the top of which is a watchtower or observation post.

Its climate is mild and healthy, one league south is the harbour at a spacious bay formed to the East by cape of la Azoia.
