Mazarron Puerto de mazarron

Outside the town in Puerto de Mazarrón we may find the Torre Vieja de la cumber erected in the 17th century, near Bolnuevo, the Torre de los caballos. Along the road to bolnuevo lies the cabezo del Molinete a circular watchtower whose lower section still stands and in Bolnuevo the torre de Santa Isabel, yet again between Bolnuevo and Mazarrón the cabezo del Plomo with the remains of a fortified Neolithic settlement upon it.

In Puerto de mazarrón its harbour is well worth a visit, brimming with coastal fishing vessels. Do not forget the Lonja with its traditional auction. Opposite the sand bars at the beach of Bolnuevo is one of the most peculiar of all landscapes in the Region. Here wind and water together have shaped strange forms, modelling them to form a sort of haunted city.
